Our Journey To Easter has begun.
Our first step is LENT is a solemn religious observance in the Christian liturgical calendar that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends six weeks later on Good Friday. It is a journey we take walking, praying, learning, and being with God for 40 days. It is symbolic of the time that Jesus spent in the wilderness before he began his ministry. It was here Jesus wrestled with his faith and doubt, matured his spiritual strength, and overcame temptation.
Typically, those who celebrate Lent do so by fasting. Some people fast from something simple and ordinary like chocolate or dessert, while for others fast from something more challenging and meaningful that might uplift their faith, like fasting from judgment or negativity. To balance your fast, we suggest you also "feast" on something as well. For example, if you chose to fast from judgment, then feast on acceptance. If you fast from self-criticism then feast on loving yourself better. This is hard at first, but with each day it gets easier and easier.
